PUPPY, PUPPY, PUPPY, PUPPY…

Today was Hot ! So my outdoor English Shepherd puppies were looking for cool places.

They have a puppy pool full of cool water in the shade. Cool water in their bowls…Shady places with fans on the carport!

Little did I know of a secret place behind the flower pots that went to the underneath of the house with no screen on it…I did not know it was even there! Leave it to 9 ES puppies to find it !Right?  So I heard the awfullest racket and I went outside to see what was going on!

Well, it seems that a puppy had wiggled thru the small hole to underneath the house the other partner in crime was stuck in his efforts to follow his sister to the 60 degree temps in our crawl space! The door to the crawl space is in the basement and is screwed shut and requires a ladder to access! The puppy is stuck so I get that one out first then position myself on the concrete laying and reaching as far as I could into who knows what! and hang on to that puppy to calm it and keep it with me! All the time calling “pup, pup, pup” to which all the other 8 puppies crawled and laid and in general had their way with my toes and whatever seemed fun! finally I reach my phone and call Les! NO ANSWER! (Latter I learned he had forgotten to take his phone with him!) I lay the phone in the flower pot I am still covered in puppies thinking I had hung up. OH NO! 3 minutes of me grunting pushing puppies off and talking to myself all recorded along with howls and barks! Made for an interesting dinner laugh…

Finally after an hour I prayed (Should have first) That puppy climbed my arm right out of the hole!

My hair is thinner thanks to the puppy thinning hair group and I lost an ear ring  that I love! Guess it got taken off during the time the head sitting hair thinning group were on my head!

So this afternoon in my effort to keep the puppies safe we rearranged the Xpens! In less than an hour we had to cut the wire to get another puppy out of a stuck situation! This time I had help!

Sigh what will they find to do next!! NO This is NOT my First Litter! LOL! !
