Spring Early Morning Sounds…
The sheep bells are softly tinkling in the field…here and there they are making the most beautiful, peaceful sounds. I know the sheep are safe and happy…some still sleeping, some grazing contently.
The birds are having a contest to see who can sing the best song, while others are accompanying them…then the ducks are talking!

The Kackie Hen is sitting on a clutch of eggs next to the house! The two male ducks are making a big deal over the hen not going on duck patrol with them! She just started sitting yesterday. We put a big X pen round her to protect her as best we could. I did not want to move her for fear she will decide not to sit on her eggs.
Off in the distance a dog barks…no cars moving on the road yet.
Crickets and the sound of rain hitting the ground. This is all good for the pasture!
It is peaceful and beautiful to the eyes, to the ear pleasant, and to the sense of smell sweet…
Living where I do is a real pleasure, and I am thankful !
